In 2009, company PROMA has developed a project for renovation of Grammar School in Lietavská Lúčka near Žilina. Building has been renovated with focus on low energy consumption and overall energy efficiency. Energy consumption was evaluated in science publications and in magazine Správa Budov. The project included building restoration of a detached building of primary school and gymnasium located in the village of Lietavská Lúčka. The main objective was to resolve additional insulation system and technology of the environment, so that the building meets the requirement for low energy building.
School building consists of individual blocks. The main three-storey block has classrooms with communication spaces – stairways, corridors. The next block is a single-storey block of dressing rooms. These blocks are structurally related to each other. The block with dressing rooms is linked to the workshop block consisting of cabins.
Besides these blocks, there is a gym, which is not in any way connected to the school.
